'SNL' Melania Trump impersonator Cecily Strong parties in style
It was a Strong finish.
“Saturday Night Live” star Cecily Strong celebrated her 34th birthday in style before this week’s show.
“They arrived at 8 p.m. sharp with Cecily in her formalwear — full makeup and black stilettos,” according to one attendee at the comic’s party at Ocean Prime Restaurant, just a stone’s throw from 30 Rock, where “SNL” performs.
“Strong was out in full force with her crew of six in Midtown,” said our insider, who adds that the group had “lots of cocktails” during their two hour visit.

Most shocking SNL moments
Strong joined “SNL” in 2012, but has been stealing a lot of screen time as of late, thanks to a spot-on impersonation of First Lady Melania Trump.
“The group sat in the middle of the dining room, while Cecily moved from the bar to the dining room with a Cucumber Gimlet in hand,” said our spy. Once seated, Strong was spotted sipping a vodka-based “Smoking Berries & Bubbles” cocktail. The birthday girl dined on a Lemon Grouper entree. We’re also told Strong’s group laughed a lot, which isn’t a surprise, considering the company and the cocktails.

Strong brought down the house on “SNL” last weekend in a hilarious skit, where she played the First Lady being visited by previous presidents’ wives — living and dead — who talked her through being publicly humiliated by a cheating husband. It had just been reported that President Trump once had an affair with a porn star, which he denies. “Oh, come on Melania, practice your happy face,” she joked in a heavy Slovenian accent, trying and failing to force a smile.
On Wednesday, Strong was a guest on “Watch What Happens Live!” where she told host Andy Cohen that she would imagine Melania likes her impersonation.

“I heard she likes the show and likes Alec (Baldwin) doing Trump,” Strong said. “But she must like my impersonation too I guess.”
