Francis Ford Coppola Made a Cannabis to Go With His Wine
Francis Ford Coppola is using his name to set a mood: good movies, good wine, and now, good cannabis. The Oscar-winning director is launching a cannabis brand that looks all kinds of refined. The limited collection is called the Grower’s Series and includes three cannabis flower strains: an “uplifting and creative” sativa strain, an indica for relaxing and nurturing the mind and body, and a hybrid for “enhanced mood and focus.” The cannabis with be organically grown and sold in California, where recreational marijuana became legal earlier this year.

“Wine and cannabis are two ancient and bounteous gifts of Mother Nature, linked by great care, terroir, and temperateness. Expertise making one applies to the other,” said Coppola in a press release. “As with growing grapes, location matters, and the Grower’s Series reflects California agricultural expertise creating a true blend of art and science.”
Naturally, Coppola’s cannabis comes housed in a mock wine bottle. Also included are a glass pipe, rolling papers, and a matchbox to go with a gram of each flower—all for $ 99 and available to order online at Chill. The Grower’s Series is a partnership with California growers the Humboldt Brothers.
Coppola has been making movies for more than 50 years, wine for more than 40, and cannabis for about a minute. The guy knows how to cultivate a good time.
