Samsung just unveiled its lineup of televisions for 2018, with new Ultra HD, Premium Ultra HD, and Ultra-Large Screen models joining the rotation. In addition to a bunch of new A/V features that create sharper color and immersive sound, the biggest update is how Samsung’s TVs will interact with your home.

With “Ambient Mode,” the screen mimics the pattern of the wall behind it, nearly vanishing save for the outer frame of the actual television. The owner simply takes a photo of the wall behind it; the TV does the rest, turning itself into a 4K chameleon. On top of that, it can also display weather, traffic reports, or news headlines, if you still want to subject yourself to those. We have so many black mirrors in our lives, the least we can do is make the one hanging in our living room beautiful.
All said, Samsung’s new lineup is perfect if you’re trying to do a whole “Marie Kondo” thing this year, but can’t give up binging new episodes of Westworld and Drag Race.
